Slastik Glasses — Rebranding

Slastik is a Barcelona-based eyewear brand known for its distinctive products: magnetic glasses with adjustable temples and a patented flexible headband. The goal was to move beyond the reading glasses category and reposition the brand in a broader, cooler, and younger territory—combining technology, comfort, and originality.

From the original identity, we kept the brand name, the red color, and the Helvetica Neue typeface. The old logo, which had a “space agency” feel, was replaced. The idea was simple: Slastik can be read as Slas and Tik, evoking both a sense of fluid movement and the sound of two magnets clicking together.

Visual System — Slas and Tik

We developed an iconographic system inspired by each part of the name, emphasizing Slastik’s attributes in a subtle yet direct way. On one side, fluid and elastic vector shapes; on the other, modular pieces that fit and connect.

To reinforce this feeling of flow, we combined different weights and versions of the Helvetica Neue family.

The new logo was simplified and lightened, allowing other brand elements to take the spotlight.

Claim — Be Magnetik

For the tone of voice, we used the English play on words “BE MAGNETIK”, expressing both the literal magnetism of the glasses and the charisma of those who wear them — “Short distances are magnetic.”

While keeping red as the primary color (combined with black and white), we added beige and green accents to convey a sense of sustainability, as the brand uses recycled plastic in its packaging.

Following the rebranding, we created the brand book, stationery, posters, social media assets, presentations, mailing, art direction for photography, the 2023 catalog, and in-store display design.
